Scott Hoagland was instrumental in his team's 7-6 triumph over the Salt Lake Bees. The second baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Reno Aces. Reno reliever John Meyer picked up the win, raising his record to 2-4. Chris Penn was tagged with the loss. Reno is now 34-43, while Salt Lake is 36-41.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Hoagland hit a sinker from Chris Penn for a solo home run. The Aces, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

When asked about his performance after the game, Hoagland said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
