Isotopes Get Clutch Win Versus Tacoma
The Albuquerque Isotopes needed 10 innings to beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-3, at Isotopes Park. Mauricio Chavarria, for one, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Reliever John Ekdar picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Jesus Arias, who is tied for 10th in the PC in holds with 2, took the loss. Albuquerque, at 54-23, holds down first place in the Pacific Conference South Division.

The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the tenth, with two out, Chavarria hit a run-scoring single. It gave Albuquerque the 4-3 walk-off win.

"It was terrific getting this win," Chavarria said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
