River Cats Win at Las Vegas, 2-1
|
Jared Savage could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Las Vegas 51s lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Sacramento River Cats at Cashman Field. The River Cats go to 47-31, putting them first in the Pacific Conference North Division.
Sacramento catcher Elvin Reiss contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a slider into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 42nd hit of the season and put the River Cats ahead, 2-1.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Las Vegas manager Wilfri Aleton.
