Antonio Soler exploded for a barrage of base hits at Security Service Field.

The Colorado Springs first baseman had a field day in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Memphis Redbirds, finishing 5-for-5.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Soler must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Antonio Soler hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Reich in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Paulino Aldana in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year, Soler has batted at a .301 pace with 63 hits, 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 34 times.
