The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

A 4-RBI performance from Benny Scanlon, who is tied for 7th in the PC in bases on balls with 31, helped the Albuquerque Isotopes beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 11-5. Danny Hoyt got the win, improving to 5-3. He held the Grizzlies to 3 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 3.

Josh Bell dealt the Grizzlies a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Albuquerque trailing 1-0, Bell hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"Good win for us," said Scanlon. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

The Isotopes now have a record of 44-34 with the win over Fresno.
