Zephyrs Win, Charest goes 4-for-4
|
The New Orleans Zephyrs downed the Memphis Redbirds, 4-1, at Zephyr Field. Steven Charest led the way, going 4-for-4 for New Orleans. The Zephyrs are now 39-41, while the Redbirds fall to 47-33.
Charest had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Tsuneo Tanada, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Zephyrs a 3-1 lead. It was the 14th double of the year for Charest.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New Orleans skipper Matt Sorenson. "I can't complain."
