Dodgers Drop Storm Chasers, 5-2
|
Oklahoma City and Omaha got after it at Werner Park.
Oklahoma City pitcher Jordan Roman did his part in helping his team defeat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Tyler Jones was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 9 save opportunities.
With two out in the top of the fifth, Ricky Alvarez put Oklahoma City in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Dodgers went on to win the ballgame.
"Jordan's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Oklahoma City manager Vicente Gutierrez.
The second-place Storm Chasers now sit at 41-37.
