Reno Loses, 5-4, to Sacramento in 11
|
The Sacramento River Cats picked up a win at Raley Field, dropping the Reno Aces, 5-4, in 11 innings. Brian McQuain, the 3rd overall pick in the 2106 draft, was the difference-maker. Sacramento pitcher Ryan Zangaro got the win. He's now 2-1. David Nickerson was tagged with the loss. With the victory, the River Cats upped their record to 49-34.
The River Cats got a clutch hit from center fielder Chris Webster. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the River Cats.
"This wasn't a good win," said McQuain. "It was a great win."
