Chihuahuas Axe Bees at Smith's Ballpark
The El Paso Chihuahuas stopped the Salt Lake Bees, 7-1, at Smith's Ballpark. The Chihuahuas got a big game from Davy Lewis, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Antonio Rico, who leads the PC in wins with 10, picked up the win in relief. Matt McDuffy took the loss for Salt Lake. The third-place Chihuahuas lifted their record to 42-41.

El Paso used a well-timed hit by Shamel Sanchez to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Lewis told a El Paso Daily reporter that the win made him feel "terrific."
