Tight Tilt Goes to Mud Hens, 3-2
The Toledo Mud Hens and Louisville Bats played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Toledo pinch hitter Blake Hubka contributed significantly to his team's 3-2 win over the Louisville Bats. Hubka went 1 for 1 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mud Hens. Toledo reliever Matthew Robert got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Brian Scalfaro was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Phil Richeson, his 2nd.

Hubka had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Brian Scalfaro, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Mud Hens a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Hubka.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Hubka. "I just want to win ballgames."

The victory makes Toledo 6-4, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2110.
