Though he had a stellar game, Tim Kase could not prevent his team, the Reno Aces, from losing, 6-5, to the Las Vegas 51s. Kase was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Reliever Erik Rice picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. David Nickerson, who is tied for 6th in the PC in saves with 7, took the loss. The third-place 51s are 45-40.

Las Vegas right fielder Joe McNally delivered a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and knocked in 2.
