River Cats Suffer One-Run Loss at Salt Lake
Salt Lake Bees starter Earl Jones turned in a top-notch performance against the Sacramento River Cats at Smith's Ballpark. The result was a win for the Bees, 2-1. With the win, Salt Lake upped its record to 47-38.

In the bottom of the third, Salt Lake left fielder Conor Long had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Long stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Salt Lake. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"Our offense was purring," said Salt Lake manager Aaron Hunt. "Like a well-oiled machine."
