The Omaha Storm Chasers picked up a win at Principal Park, knocking off the Iowa Cubs, 3-1. Starting pitcher Matt Poerio played a key role in the triumph. The save went to Jim Connell, number 3 for him. The Storm Chasers are now 43-44, while the Cubs fall to 33-53.

Brad Elliott had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Omaha. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Omaha in front, 3-1.
