Round Rock pitcher Kelan Purcell did his part in helping his team defeat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 3-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Round Rock currently is in first place in the American Conference South Division at 45-41.

It could have been a different outcome for Round Rock, had it not been for Pat Crofton, the 24-year old catcher . Crofton contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Round Rock up, 1-0.

"It's not about individual awards," Crofton told a Round Rock Daily reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
