River Cats Back to .500 With Win Over Grizzlies

The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Raley Field.
Sacramento pitcher Ron Courtois did his part in helping his team defeat the Fresno Grizzlies, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Courtois got the win, improving to 4-9. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Zach Lee got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Nate Strother, who is tied for 8th in the PC in RBI with 54, chipped in a 3-run home run for Sacramento in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Strother. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
After today's action, Sacramento sits at 43-43, while Fresno falls to 48-38.
