Aces Best Rainiers, 4-2
|
Reno pitcher Chad Taylor had a large part in his team subduing the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The third-place Aces now sit at 36-50.
Reno used a well-timed hit by Byron Levin to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We had a good game plan," Taylor said, "and we were able to execute it."
