Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Matt Mountain, the Reno Aces defeated the Sacramento River Cats, 4-1. Mountain threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the Aces. Will Cascalho picked up the save for Reno, his 1st of the year. The second-place Aces bumped their record to 38-49.

Mike Cook, who is tied for 8th in the PC with a .322 batting average, aided the Reno cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Cook.
