Matt Young never let Salt Lake get something going. The Albuquerque left-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Isotopes to a 5-1 win. Young picked up the win for Albuquerque, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Jake Lutz collected save number 1.

Ichizo Amano could have done more damage. In the top of the second, with Salt Lake trailing 1-0, Salt Lake had the bases loaded. That's when Amano hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Albuquerque would go on to win the game.
