Bisons Deal Syracuse 5-4 Defeat
The 3-RBI night of third baseman Willie Ruiz helped the Buffalo Bisons triumph, 5-4, over the Syracuse Chiefs. Alfredo Gonzalez earned the save for Buffalo, his 1st. The loss drops the Chiefs to 5-6.

With Buffalo trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Ruiz hit a curveball from Ricky Whorton for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Bisons ahead, 5-3.

"It never gets old," said Ruiz. "Winning, that is."
