Riding the 3-hit performance of the 27-year old right fielder Fidel Hernandez, the Fresno Grizzlies stopped the Reno Aces, 6-2, in 9 innings. Fresno starter Brad Thaler was credited with the win after throwing 114 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 9-6. The save went to Bobby Kimble, his 5th this season.

Lílian Andersen, who is tied for 3rd in the PC with a .911 OPS, contributed to the Fresno win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Andersen told the Fresno Gazette.
