Higashi, 51s Fall to Isotopes
Despite a great performance by Las Vegas designated hitter Yutaka Higashi, the Albuquerque Isotopes defeated the 51s by the score of 16-8 at Isotopes Park. Higashi slugged 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Reliever Sam Kimes picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Jose Garza took the loss. Albuquerque is now 53-37.

Cheh Luo came through for Albuquerque when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike fastball to center field, staking his team to a 7-6 lead.

"We came out aggressive," said Isotopes manager Caleb Eldridge. "We came out swinging the bats."
