The Salt Lake Bees downed the Albuquerque Isotopes, 9-0, the largest share of the credit belonging to left fielder Frank Vargas. On the day, Vargas was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bees. Kevin Plume, the winner, improved to 6-4. He held the Isotopes to no runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2.
