Lorenzo Vazquez made an impact in the 8-6 El Paso win over Fresno. Vazquez, who is tied for 5th in the PC in bases on balls with 45, was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Tyler Allen, his 3rd this season. The first-place Chihuahuas have won 5 straight games.

With El Paso leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Vazquez came up to bat against Fresno pitcher Seth Tindel. Vazquez hit a splitter to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Chihuahuas on top, 7-3.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Vazquez.
