Albuquerque second baseman Joe Couch had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-8, to Reno in 10 innings. Couch was 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Donovan Harding picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 10-5. Rob Dillon suffered the loss. Reno is now 48-43, while Albuquerque is 42-49.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dave Melton in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Rick Rudd to win the game for Reno. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Melton said.
