The Nashville Sounds scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Memphis Redbirds at Herschel Greer Stadium. Nashville pitcher George Lynch held his own in the contest. Earning his 12th save for Nashville was Tom Stickles. With the win, the Sounds have a record of 41-48.
The Sounds got a big hit from first baseman John Gilley. In the bottom of the fifth, Gilley pounded a run-scoring double to center. His 15th double of the season put the Sounds ahead, 3-0.
