Clippers Knock Off Indians, 5-1
|
Columbus registered a win at Huntington Park by beating the Indianapolis Indians, 5-1. Pitcher Tom Martin was one reason why the Clippers triumphed. Indianapolis falls to 6-5.
Chris Miller dealt the Indians a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Columbus leading 2-1, Miller hit a 1-1 curveball for a 2-run single.
"A great game, a great day," said Miller about the win. "I can't complain."
