Chihuahuas Get Extra-Inning, 3-2 Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas, despite a fine performance by Fresno pitcher Jon Mendez, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Southwest University park. Mendez allowed 2 runs over 6.2 innings. El Paso pitcher Mark Grantham earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Danny Torres suffered the loss. The first-place Chihuahuas are 54-40.

The Chihuahuas got a clutch hit from catcher Sean Neidigh. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Chihuahuas.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Fresno manager Mike Gibson.
