The 8-6 El Paso win over Salt Lake was due in large part to Kevin Biron. The Chihuahuas right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Arturo Robles came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. At 47-47, El Paso is in last place in the Pacific Conference South Division.

El Paso used the timely hitting of Ben Culligan to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Culligan. "And vice-versa."
