A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the El Paso Chihuahuas and Tacoma Rainiers.

Behind the hitting of Oscar Torres, the El Paso Chihuahuas stopped the Tacoma Rainiers, 7-4. Torres was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Chihuahuas. Sal Herrera, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Aaron D'Uva was credited with the save for El Paso, his 7th of the season.

Torres had a key at-bat for El Paso early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and gave El Paso an early 2-0 lead.
