Tacoma first baseman Evan Hendry had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hendry was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, even as El Paso beat the Rainiers, 7-5. Josh Beckmann notched his 10th save in 12 chances. The Chihuahuas, at 56-40, sit in first place in the Pacific Conference South Division.

Justin Rowell had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the second for El Paso. With the bases loaded and the Chihuahuas leading 2-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Rowell. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
