The 7-1 Reno win over Salt Lake was due largely to Matt Mountain. The Aces pitcher threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The third-place Aces now have a win-loss record of 42-54.

The Bees had their hands full with Mountain, who overpowered Salt Lake hitters while racking up 10 strikeouts.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Reno manager Jose Heredia.
