The Omaha Storm Chasers picked up a win at Werner Park, knocking off the New Orleans Zephyrs, 4-3. Starting pitcher Nate Wagner played a key role in the triumph. The third-place Storm Chasers have a record of 51-46.

The Zephyrs had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Storm Chasers going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Trent Poynter came to the plate. Poynter hit a bases-clearing double on a 1-2 changeup from New Orleans hurler Roberto Serrano. It was Poynter's 12th double of the year.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Wagner.
