The Nashville Sounds picked up a win at AutoZone Park, dropping the Memphis Redbirds, 4-3. Matt Ortiz, who is tied for 10th in the AC with a 8.5 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Nashville currently is in last place in the American Conference South Division at 38-59.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Justin Dunsmore came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Memphis pitcher Benny Morgan, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Nashville on top, 4-3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Dunsmore told the Nashville Times.
