Chihuahuas Saddle Grizzlies with 7-1 Loss

The performance of Chris Alwine proved critical in helping El Paso beat Fresno, 7-1. The Chihuahuas third baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times. El Paso bumps their record to 49-48 with the win.
Sean Neidigh had a big 2-run double for the Chihuahuas in the bottom of the first inning. With El Paso leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Bryan Brown, who is tied for 2nd in the PC in quality starts with 13, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-0.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Alwine told the El Paso Bulletin.
