Isotopes Shrug Off Reno, 11-2
The Albuquerque Isotopes met little resistance from the Reno Aces, beating them, 11-2, at Isotopes Park. Billy Plunkett led the way. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Albuquerque. Sergio Ybarra picked up the win, lifting his record to 10-7 on the season. He struck out 12 and walked 4 in 6 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Kelvin Zorrilla picked up his 1st save of the season.

The Isotopes got a big hit from catcher Leon Robbins. Facing Reno pitcher Arturo Ventura in the bottom of the fifth, Robbins pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Isotopes ahead, 10-2.

Reno manager Tyler Ketchum called the blowout loss "undesirable."

The setback makes Reno 42-55.
