Oklahoma City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Oklahoma City pitcher Mitsuyasu Kume did his part in helping his team beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Oklahoma City reliever Mario Navarro picked up the win to move to 3-4. George Bryan suffered the loss. With the victory, the Dodgers upped their record to 52-44.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Oklahoma City. That's when Allen Vann hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Hardy to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Vann. "I think we showed that here."
