El Paso designated hitter Hunter Duke had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Tacoma Rainiers, 5-4. The first-place Chihuahuas now sit at 69-29.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jose Nunez? The 23-year old right fielder Nunez stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put El Paso up, 5-4. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
Nunez told a El Paso Chronicle reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.
