Zephyrs Rally Late to Nip Sounds
|
Nashville got a valiant performance from pitcher Justin Satern, but it wasn't enough to beat the New Orleans Zephyrs. New Orleans won the game, 3-2. Satern threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. New Orleans reliever Jon Brenke picked up the win, upping his record to 5-9. Karel Rishko was saddled with the loss. The setback makes Nashville 39-60.
New Orleans got a knockout punch from Tony Torres. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"What an exhilarating win!" said Torres.
