Oscar Torres was a major factor in the 7-2 El Paso win over Las Vegas. The Chihuahuas second baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win lifted the El Paso record to 58-42.

With El Paso leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Torres hit a slider from Harry Sommer for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Chihuahuas ahead, 4-0.

Torres said his team "executed a good game plan."
