Behind an impressive start by Andre Watts, Colorado Springs beat Reno, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Watts, now 2-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. With the win, Colorado Springs has a record of 49-48. Reno falls to 44-56.
Jim Graeser had a big run-scoring double for the Sky Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Colorado Springs leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Steve Grimsley and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sky Sox ahead, 2-0.
