The Round Rock Express snuck past the Tacoma Rainiers, 6-5, in 10 innings. Round Rock left fielder Kelly Whitfield, in particular, had a standout performance. Picking up the save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Salvatore Ayala. With the win over Tacoma, the Express improved to 45-55.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Adrian Aguilera? The 25-year old first baseman Aguilera stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Round Rock up, 6-5. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"It was a test of wills," said Yukio Tanaka, the Round Rock skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
