Albuquerque beat El Paso at Isotopes Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Lee Nunez. He went 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Andy Losinski picked up the save, his 7th. At 59-43, the Isotopes are currently first in the Pacific Conference South Division.

Nunez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Franklin Arreola, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Isotopes a 6-4 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Nunez.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said El Paso manager Marvin Jimenez. "But we decided not to take it."
