The Las Vegas 51s racked up a win at Cashman Field, bumping off the El Paso Chihuahuas, 5-2. Jared Savage, who started for Las Vegas, pitched effectively for his team. At 49-53, Las Vegas is in third place in the Pacific Conference South Division.

Mark Lamb aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks.

"Jared -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said 51s manager Wilfri Aleton. "He was the key to us winning."
