Late Rally Earns El Paso 7-5 Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas took Colorado Springs pitcher Geoff Gross's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Southwest University park. The final score had El Paso getting past the Sky Sox, 7-5. Gross went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The third-place Chihuahuas hiked their record to 51-52.

El Paso went up, 7-5, on Marco Ontiveros's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ontiveros hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Colorado Springs pitcher Derek Fauntleroy muttering to himself.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Ontiveros told the El Paso Herald.
