Grizzlies Lose Versus Iowa, 8-6
Fresno first baseman Jared Collins had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Collins was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, even as Iowa beat the Grizzlies, 8-6. With the win over Fresno, the Cubs improved to 55-48.

Iowa took the lead, 8-6, on Joe McNally's 10th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Fresno pitcher Jamal Grasty in the bottom of the seventh.

McNally told the Iowa News: "I was born for the big stage."
