Chihuahuas Earn 4-3 Win Versus Redbirds
|
Memphis got a valiant performance from pitcher Kyle Pierce, but it wasn't enough to beat the El Paso Chihuahuas. El Paso won the game, 4-3. Pierce threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, El Paso has a record of 63-42. Memphis falls to 67-38.
Howie Seabolt came through with a big-time hit for El Paso. The third baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We want to make a habit of winning," Seabolt said after the game.
