Charlotte 4-1 Losers to Indians
|
The 4-1 Indianapolis win over Charlotte was due largely to Remco Oosterling. The Indians designated hitter went 2-3 with a double and a walk. Amare Brown picked up the win in relief for Indianapolis, while Mark Ayers took the loss. Antonio Cruz closed it out for Indianapolis, earning his 3rd save.
Frank McClellan went 1-4 for Indianapolis. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Mark Ayers. It was his 9th hit of the season.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Oosterling.
Indianapolis has a record of 7-6.
