Bieber Shuts Out Reno
There was no spell, no black magic -- just good pitching.

Brian Bieber of the Oklahoma City Dodgers blanked the Reno Aces, 3-0, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, and he did it the old-fashioned way. After finishing the 3-hit, complete-game shutout, he was all smiles.

"I threw a lot of my pitches for strikes in this game," Bieber said. "I mixed it up and tried keeping these guys off balance."

Bieber walked 1 and struck out 7 in the victory.

"He was throwing his breaking ball for strikes and we never capitalized on any of his mistakes," Aces manager Tyler Ketchum said later.

To date this season, Bieber is 4-1 with 8 starts and an ERA of 2.93 with 58 strikeouts in 58.1 innings.
