The Colorado Springs Sky Sox picked up a win at Security Service Field, dropping the Tacoma Rainiers, 6-3. Luke Deyo, who is tied for 2nd in the AC in complete games with 3, was the difference-maker. Zach Cooper closed it out for Colorado Springs, earning his 2nd save. The triumph puts Colorado Springs at 55-50 for the season.
Colorado Springs got a big at-bat from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico native Antonio Soler, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 27th double of the season and put the Sky Sox ahead, 5-1.
"Luke's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Colorado Springs manager Dustin Kent.
