Chihuahuas Snatch Late Win
With designated hitter Miguel Mondragon leading the charge, the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the New Orleans Zephyrs, 4-2, at Zephyr Field. Mondragon, who is tied for 9th in the PC in home runs with 13, went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. Brian Rhea earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. The last-place Chihuahuas sport a record of 53-55.

El Paso used a clutch hit from Bobby Newman to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

Mondragon said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
