Griffith Helps El Paso Bombard Colorado Springs
The El Paso Chihuahuas firmly defeated the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 14-4, at Southwest University park. The El Paso offense was lit. Scott Griffith, for one, had a solid game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Chihuahuas. El Paso reliever Donovan Scott picked up the win, while Jason Dargay took the loss for Colorado Springs. With the win over Colorado Springs, the Chihuahuas improved to 58-51.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Chihuahuas grabbed the lead when Griffith hit his 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double off Jason Dargay made it 5-4, El Paso.

Griffith said: "We didn't really let up all day. We kind of kept going and going."
