Sounds Topple Grizzlies, 10-5, as Sanchez Shines
The Nashville Sounds used the hitting of right fielder Matt Sanchez to subdue the Fresno Grizzlies, 10-5. For the game, Sanchez went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 6. Mike O'Donovan, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Nashville currently is in last place in the American Conference South Division at 45-61.

In the top of the seventh, the Sounds grabbed the lead when Sanchez hit his 10th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Harman Wellon made it 7-5, Nashville.

"They played a better game than we did," said Fresno skipper Mike Gibson.
