Late Magic Gets Round Rock 6-2 Win
|
Danny Virto helped his team muscle past the Fresno Grizzlies, 6-2. In the game, the Round Rock shortstop was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Round Rock pitcher Mike Spearman got the win. He's now 5-6. Steve White was tagged with the loss. The Express, at 61-49, sit in second place in the American Conference South Division.
With Round Rock leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Virto came up to bat against Fresno pitcher Steve White. Virto hit a changeup to right-center for a bases-clearing double. His 15th double of the season put the Express on top, 6-2.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Virto.
