The Nashville Sounds overcame a pretty good performance by Albuquerque center fielder Cesar Licon, beating the Isotopes, 8-7, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Licon was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Brent Vaught in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Bryson Moffatt took the loss for Albuquerque. Alan Ziemer wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.

Carlos Salgado went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs against the Isotopes. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Nashville in front, 6-5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Salgado told the Nashville Times.

Nashville now sports a record of 35-75.
