Sky Sox Suffer 6-1 Setback
The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Colorado Springs Sky Sox by the score of 6-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Sherman Pompa. Pompa went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Chihuahuas on the day. With the win over Colorado Springs, the Chihuahuas improved to 53-57.

Jose Nunez went 1-3 with a double and a walk against the Sky Sox. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put El Paso in front, 2-1.
