Storm Chasers Beat Isotopes, 7-4
|
The game between Omaha and Albuquerque is in the books, despite a little rain.
A good performance from second baseman Ryan Miller helped the Omaha Storm Chasers defeat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 7-4. Miller went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Storm Chasers. Michael Hess was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Lance Broski.
Omaha catcher Josh Cortez landed a blow when he belted a 3-run home run in the top of the first. It was his 7th home run of the season. With it, the Storm Chasers took a 6-0 lead.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Cortez.
The third-place Storm Chasers bumped their record to 52-56.
